Muscle Man?
Whenever Christopher and his Grandpops hang out together, there's bound to be a good photo or two.

Newport Aquarium
Went to Newport Aquarium last night with Katie and Paul. We had a great time looking at all the underwater creatures. The highlight of the trip, hands down, was touching the sharks.
Here are a few photos for you.

They had a section of the aquarium where you could buy nectar and feed some very colorful birds. Christopher wasn't as sure about it as Adam was... especially when they landed on Adam's head.

New Baby
There was a new baby born in the family recently. Here are some photos for your enjoyment. This little guy was born without a name at 5:07 a.m. on 8/17/07. He weighed 7 lbs 4 oz at birth. Everyone is doing well.

Haircut
Alas, Christopher got his haircut today. It was an emotional experience we weren't prepared for - but then again, they say part of parenting is going through many experiences like this.
Who are "they" anyway?

Water water everywhere!
Here are some quick photos for you bloggers out there. The rugrat and I got into a water contest. As you can see, we both eventually got wet. It was so stinkin' hot the only way to remain outdoors was to be drenched. Fortunately neither of us minded too much.

Studio
We've been cranking out photos in the studio recently. Sorry for the lack of kiddo photos here, but below is the best we have at this time. You'll just have to settle for a photo of Adam and Annette for now.

Earrings
Clara had her ears pierced last Saturday morning. By the following Sunday she was already in the studio having her photograph taken.

Studio time
We got a new reflector in the mail today. We tried to take a quick photo with the kiddos downstairs, but they didn't want to cooperate (surprise, surprise). This picture is definitely worth a thousand words!

2 year old birthday party
We celebrated Christopher's 2nd birthday today. A good time was had by all. We enjoyed games, presents and some cake. Although the Darth Vader head was not a hit, the sprinkler definitely was.

Rice Cereal
This is a very up-to-date post on the blog (relatively speaking). Earlier today Clara ate some rice cereal for the first time at home. She's a few weeks ahead of her brother for this kind of grub. I guess what they say about each child being different is true.
Check out this post from last year. Hard to believe that in a few short months we have another solid foods eater around the house.

Like father..
Sorry for the belated post. Here's a snapshot of Christopher and I standing in front of you-know-who on our weekend in Indianapolis. He was very excited about seeing Darth Vader in person. We keep trying to tell him that Darth Vader is a bad guy who spends time in the naughty corner but I don't think he gets it.

Indy's Treasures
We had a fabulous mini-vacation to Indianapolis, taking in as many of the area treasures as we could cram into 24 hours. There were so many fun experiences, it was hard to narrow down the pictures, but here are some of the highlights.
The Children's Museum of Indianapolis is home to one of the largest glass towers by artist Dale Chihuly. The tower was impressive - but even more fun was putting together "glass" pieces to make our own colorful masterpiece. Our little artist preferred the green pieces.

We decided to catch a ride on a locomotive...INSIDE our hotel! The Crown Plaza in Indy is housed in the country's first Union Station and is home to 26 full size train cars that have been converted to rooms. We had fun climbing on and off.

Our final major stop of our whirlwind tour was north of Indy at Conner Prairie. Home to several historical villages taking us from the 1750's all the way to 1886. We talked to the potter, the doctor, the blacksmith and the manager of the general store to understand more about their life and times. Papa and the boy got a lesson on playing stick and hoop.

Feeding the birds
Grandpops has a tradition of changing the birdbath water at his house when his grandson comes over. Adam decided to start a tradition of his own by filling up the bird feeder with his son. It took a few trips, but eventually enough of the birdseed went into the feeder and filled it up. Later a few birds were seen at the bottom of the feeder.
Guys in Europa
There are five guys in this photo. Four of them just left on a trip to Europe for three weeks. Can you guess which of these guys stayed home?

Granny's Birthday
Granny's birthday was spent making cards and practicing her creative skills.

Here the two of them are looking at a photo from Paris taken this past week by Todd and the gang while they travel through Europe.

What would a birthday be without some cake and candles?

Sculpture Park
We all went to the sculpture park today with Granny and Grandpops. Saw many different kinds of sculpture which can only be best described by a person with a fine arts degree. Fortunately we had such a person with us. Unfortunately she was too busy tending to little people that she couldn't give us her insights on all the artwork.
Here are a few photos from the day.

Oh Deer
Just got Harry back from the taxidermist. Right now he's on the wall in the kitchen but only through the weekend. Come over to the house quickly if you want to see him.

Our Little Beauty at 3 Months
It's hard to believe that three months have passed since our daughter was born! Though it's gone quickly, it feels like she's always been here. Here are the results of some fun in the studio with our little beauty. Enjoy - we certainly do!

Lets Go Fly a Kite
On a recent trip to Brown County, Indiana, we took in some country pass times like fishing and kite flying. The kiddo had a great time hanging with his uncles and his Grandpops. A good time was had by all!

Play Time is Hard Work
When Papa is home it allows Mama to pick up the camera a little more often to catch the developments of the littlest one. Her current task is learning to bat her toys with those other new discoveries - her hands. She especially likes to hit the toys that make noise and she is already keen enough to know the difference. She is a champ, working hard between naps and feedings - but she still finds enough time to flash a smile at the camera!

Two turkeys in the woods
Mark and I went out in the woods this morning looking for turkeys. We heard several gobblers and even saw a turkey or two, but nothing was close enough for us to even consider shooting. In fact, we had a really good dialogue with a gobbler (at least we thought it was a good conversation) right up until someone else shot it. Enjoy the photos of camo below.

Sleeping in the big boy bed
Here's a photo of the first time our son spent the night in his big boy bed. As far as we know he stayed in it straight through till the morning. Annette tells me when he woke up this morning he was a little disoriented and asked to be put back in his crib.
