Pops and the Bourbon Storm

For Father's Day, Pops and I went to Buffalo Trace in Frankfort to stand in line and procure whatever they were selling that particular day.  We arrived at 8:55 a.m. for the gift shop that opens at 9 a.m. and stood in line for a long time.  The line moved relatively quickly and by 10:10 a.m. we had procured a bottle of Buffalo Trace and a bottle of Blanton's each.  This means we're in Blanton's jail till October since you're only permitted to purchase one bottle of the specialty bourbons every 90 days.

Immediately after we walked out of the gift shop, Annette called requesting a bottle of bourbon cream.  We stopped at Boone County Bourbon on our way home and waited outside briefly for the storm to pass.  It was a pretty amazing site and Pops recorded a video where he asked Clara to draw it.

It was a fun way to celebrate Father's Day with Pops and hopefully we'll be able to enjoy some of the bourbon together too!
