Gobblers
We had quite a morning as you can see from the photo. Paul and I both took our first turkey today. All we need now is wheat bread, tomato, lettuce and a little bit of mayo.

Trip to Louisville
The kids and I (Annette) took a quick little spring break get-away to Louisville with Granny. We found lots to do! Some of the highlights were tours of the Louisville Slugger Factory, the Science Museum and Louisville Glassworks as well as the local parks and the hotel pool. It was great to see Uncle Todd & Svarit too... thanks for taking time out to see us!

Dessert Cookies
The kids had a good time with these delicious desserts of graham crackers and icing. The funny thing is, both of them only want to eat the icing and not the graham. Go figure. Clara is very happy to show you all 4 of her teeth while Christopher peers over his glasses, something we try to discourage.

Game trail
Christopher and Uncle Paul went for a walk (along with Papa) last Saturday morning looking for turkeys. We didn't find any, but we did see plenty of game trails and deer tracks. There were even some lightsabers someone carelessly left out in the woods for Christopher to play with (aka: sticks).
Papa with Clara
Another Easter photo to show. This one is Clara with Papa. The reason Christopher isn't in the photo is because he was throwing a tantrum at the time.

Easter Morning
Here's a photo we took early on Easter Sunday morning. Cousin Alex came over to go to church with us that morning.

Easter photos
Here are a few photos from Easter Celebrations. We had a great time hanging out with Babo at Atria. Then, later in the day, getting the Easter Eggs ready were the activity for these hands on Holy Saturday.

Friday
Today is Good Friday. For all of you who are keeping score out there in the world, know that our little guy made it through everything very well so far. Thanks for all the well wishes and prayers.
Playing in the snow
After the blizzard, we went out to play in the snow. Clara was bundled up warm with her Grandma while Christopher enjoyed sleds that went both down and up hill.

Blizzard of 08
For those of you in Wisconsin, and other parts of the country, we have your snow and we'd like to return it to you. Clearly this was a mistake. We're not going to point any fingers, but you know who you are.

One Year Photos
Not only have we had fun with our latest photography musings, they also happen to be images of our prettiest little subject. Check out our little girl at one year old!

Updates
Sorry for the lack of posts recently. Here are a few photos from our February visit to the Contemporary Arts Center downtown where they were making animal masks during the Fine Arts Fund Sampler Weekend.

Clara's Birthday
We've been meaning to post a few photos from Clara's birthday party. She was very excited to get her new table and chairs. We played a game called "Cake Drop." We put a sheet of 24 squares with names in each one beneath her high-chair. Whichever person's square was the first to have a piece of cake land on it was declared the winner. We were all very excited when she picked up the large piece of cake and acted like she was going to hurl it overboard.

CAC Visit
We went to the Contemporary Arts Center as part of the Fine Arts Fund Sampler Weekend yesterday. Christopher made an animal mask while Annette and Clara soaked up the views from the Unmuseum's 6th floor.

Field Trip
Last week, we took a Sunday afternoon drive. It was a good to get out of the area for a little while as a family. Here is a photo of the family that a fellow photographer snapped of us. (Thanks for the coat, Tim...)

In George Lucas' original screenplay, what was Luke Skywalker's original name?
Was it:
A. Luke Moonwalker
B. Luke Starkiller
C. Luke Carbine

You can do it, we can help
Earlier this month, Christopher, with the help of Uncle Kevin, built his very first wooden project while his sister looked on. After using the hammer a few times and applying some glue, he was finished. That's not to say that the castle was finished but you get the idea. By the way, this castle is the same one Darth Vader defends in 'Casa De Vader'.

Babo Birthday
Last Friday we celebrated Babo's birthday. She turned 89 and we were all happy to celebrate with her. Christopher was especially happy because he got to eat some chocolate cake. (Note: Chocolate cake is actually yellow cake with chocolate icing, right Tim?)

Decorating the tree
This is a photo from the next night of us decorating the Christmas tree. All of the ornaments are at least 3 feet off the ground. They go from least breakable to most breakable as you make your way up the tree.
Christmas Tree Hunt
A quick (belated) photo of our Christmas tree hunt. We found a great locally owned place that we'll probably go back to next year.

Where is?
Every so often, we play a fun game at our house called, "Where is Christopher?" This particular evening was no different... to be continued

Pajamas with shoes?
Christopher went to bed with his shoes off. When we went in to check on him later, we discovered that he had put his shoes back on. Being the parents we are, we took a picture before taking his shoes off again.

Thanksgiving Photos
After a great dinner with the family from out-of-town, we played a game of charades. Lets just say some were better than others. We were divided up - boys vs. girls. The losers had to do the Chicken Dance for the winners. Later we pulled out a box of photos and started sorting through them.

Stinkpots
Forgot to post this after we visited the Newport Aquarium. The sign says hatchling stinkpots are less than one inch long. We have several stinkpots at our house in case you're interested in seeing one a natural habitat.
